Qualified surgeons are invited to apply for appointment to the Central Committee on Trauma (COT). Applicants should demonstrate expertise and a strong commitment to the care of injured patients and must be Fellows of the American College of Surgeons. 

Applications are accepted year-round. Applicants not selected during a given review period must submit a new application to be considered in a future cycle. Applications are reviewed on an annual basis, with the review cycle taking place each year between June and July. Applicants selected during a given review cycle will begin an initial three-year term the following spring. Applications submitted after the annual deadline will be considered during the next review cycle.聽
