Hsu, from ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, Delaware, and colleagues described the environmental footprint of the OR, presented a surgical supply analysis, and offered evidence-based strategies in the 鈥淕reen鈥 OR.
In conclusion, the authors urged surgical teams to help safeguard both patient care and the resources essential to practice. They wrote, 鈥淯ltimately, integrating sustainability and cost-consciousness into everyday surgical decision-making is an opportunity to lead our field toward a more secure and responsible future.
