The Distinguished Lifetime Military Contribution Award was established by the Board of Regents in 2018 to recognize a physician鈥檚 distinguished contributions to the advancement of military surgery. Recipients for this award are expected to be surgeons with a demonstrated commitment to advancing military surgical care but are not required to be in active medical practice. This award is not mandated to be presented annually but rather on merit. The Honors Committee will consider nominations from the 番茄社区app Military Health System Strategic Partnership (MHSSPAC), the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense, the College鈥檚 Committee on Trauma, and the entire 番茄社区app membership when selecting a recipient. The Distinguished Lifetime Military Contribution Award is presented during the Convocation Ceremony the evening before the official start of the annual Clinical Congress.
